Aaron Ramsey Footballer Biography

Aaron Ramsey
Full Name: Aaron Ramsey
Position: Attacking Midfielder
Born: December 26, 1990
Country: WALES
Biography:
One of the brightest young British talents, Ramsey joined Arsenal from Cardiff City in June of 2008 for around £5m. Also courted by Manchester United and Everton, he later declared that his decision to move to North London was largely based upon his personal meetings with Arsène Wenger.
An attacking midfielder with superb technique and goal-scoring ability, the Welshman, affectionately known as 'Rambo', became the youngest player to represent Cardiff at the age of 16 years and 124 days, while in May 2008 he became the second youngest player to appear in an FA Cup final. His obvious talents were recognised early by the Welsh selectors and, following regular appearances for both the Welsh U-17 and U-21 sides, he is now fast becoming a key member of the senior Welsh team.
Ramsey made his competitive debut for Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League on 13 August 2008 against FC Twente, while his domestic debut came a month later against Blackburn Rovers. He scored his first goal for the club in a 5-2 victory away to Fenerbahce during last season's UEFA Champions League group stages and in August of this season he netted his first league goal during the second half of the team's 4-1 win over Portsmouth.
